In partnership with Toledo City Hall, Prati-Donaduzzi made an awareness action of fight against dengue. The Endemic Disease Control and Combat team adviced the employees about the reproduction phases of Aedes aegypti mosquito, brought the character "Mosquitão da Dengue" and distributed information materials. At that occasion, it was also made the registration of employees to work as volunteers on actions for dengue, zika and chikungunya transmitting mosquito elimination. It aimed to join a group of people who can help the endemic disease agents on inspections in establishments, homes and lands in neighborhoods which are considered critical ones, such as Tocantins, Santa Maria, La Salle, Downtown, Jardim Porto Alegre, Panorama and São Franscisco. The volunteers will participate in a training with the Endemic Disease Control and Combat team and they will get a certificate.
According to the technical supervisor of Endemic Disease Control and Combat Department of Toledo City Hall, Taylon Pereira, Prati-Donaduzzi was the first company in the city to show interest in helping on actions of fight against dengue. "In addition to giving the place so that we could advice the employees, the company also recruited volunteers for the next visit actions. I thank the company for the initiative, attention and all the commitment to help on the fight against Aedes aegypti", he emphasizes.
According to the environmental technician of Environment Department, Faneza de Oliveira, Prati-Donaduzzi also approaches dengue issue with children who take part in "Sustainable Prati" project, which was developed three years ago at Engenheiro Waldyr Luiz Becker Municipal School, on Coopagro neighborhood. "The students are expected to help on the mosquito control work and they are also expected to become multipliers at home", she says.
The action was carried out by Marketing, Environment and Human Development Departments from Prati-Donaduzzi.
