After being in charge of Prati-Donaduzzi for 22 years, the current CEO Luiz Donaduzzi leaves his charge by feeling proud of what Prati-Donaduzzi is nowadays: one of the largest pharmaceutical industries in the country.
In order to keep the family culture and values, which were begun in 1993, a model of corporate governance was adopted about five years ago by professionalizing the management in the company. Since then, Eder Maffissioni has been acting as vice-president. After acting in different departments in the company, considering that in the past five years as a vice-president, Maffissoni knows the pharmaceutical operation in detail. “During this period, he has been responsible for key operational improvements and for a redesign on processes, by creating space to increase our portfolio based on research and innovation”, says Donaduzzi.

Process
In order to have a successful transition, a planning based on structural and cultural analysis was carried out by aiming to preserve the essence of the company. One of the main challenges for Luiz Donaduzzi was to place in command a person who was not a member of the family, but who was already working as his “right-arm” for years. Since then, Eder actively takes part in all the decisions of Prati-Donaduzzi Group along with the CEO. Since Eder assumed as vice-president, he has led changes on portfolio of the company products and services. “The challenges that a company  like Prati-Donaduzzi is facing , at a moment of uncertainties the country is going through, are enormous. However, we will continue innovating, accelerating our capacity of bringing differentiated products in the next few years”, says Maffissioni.
To antecipate and minimize possible conflicts which could emerge, during all the transition process, there have been dialogue and mutual support, considering that these aspects made the decision taking  easy so that the company could be prepared to obtain positive results and could increase 25% a year, on average.
Luiz Donaduzzi will continue involved with Prati-Donaduzzi, as the CEO of the Directors Board of the company, where the strategic matters, mission, vision and values are discussed.
