With a history based on a constant growth in the pharmaceutical market, Prati-Donaduzzi Pharmaceutical Industry remains confident with a strategic planning that will put it on a new level in the coming years. Its full development is evidenced with the recent beginning of the construction works of a new manufacturing facility at its headquarters in Toledo, in the West of Paraná.

The construction of this new high-tech facility is part of Prati´s growth plan, which includes R$650 million as announced earlier this year. The amount also includes the modernization of current manufacturing facilities, the acquisition of new equipment, and high investments in Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I).

The construction is progressing as scheduled. It is reaching the end of the first stage of the earthworks. Then the excavations and the foundation of the structure will begin. With an area of ​​11 thousand m², the construction work is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.

The new facility has a horizontal concept of use, which allows a better optimization of the manufacturing spaces. In addition to modern and sustainable architecture, the new plant will house European equipment of high technology, innovation and performance. With full operation, the company's production capacity might reach 17 billion doses per year, an increase of 41% from the current one. The physical expansion of the industry will also support the increase in the product portfolio of the company.

A national benchmark in the production of medicines, Prati-Donaduzzi is present in over 55 thousand pharmacies and 36 thousand Basic Health Units throughout Brazil. Fulfilling an important role in the lives of Brazilians, it offers millions of people the opportunity of daily treatment.

The promising future through sustainable planning is a reality, as explained by the CEO of Prati-Donaduzzi, Eder Fernando Maffissoni. “Our growth is based on a robust and bold plan that will allow millions of people more access to effective and quality medicines. We are big and our steps today show the market that we will conquer tomorrow”.

Expansion

Following this evolution, later this year, the pharmaceutical company will have a new Distribution Center (DC). The new structure located in the complex of the Biosciences and Technology Park (Biopark), in Toledo, will be used to store final products destined for Distribution Centers and Branches throughout Brazil. With 14 thousand m2, the structure will have the capacity to house 17,500 pallet positions.

The investment plan shows Prati-Donaduzzi Group's concern with economic and social development. With over 4,600 employees today, the advancement of the industry will generate hundreds of new jobs.
