A lot of rain, almost without respite for the practices on Friday 13, which marks the start of 2019 Stock Car finals. Prati-Donaduzzi team leader, Rodolpho Mattheis, had already commented on Interlagos´ challenges, emphasizing the climate change, and that was exactly what happened.

The wet track disrupted plans to test the cars effectively at José Carlos Pace International Racetrack in Sao Paulo, which frustrated the team's expectations.

“Today was a difficult day to evaluate and we couldn't properly test Julio Campos's car, because even when the rain stopped, the track remained wet at some points. We could not develop the car. Valdeno had difficulties on straight lines. We will change the engine of his car for tomorrow and, in the end, the training was inconclusive”, he said.

Julio Campos - who is competing for the title - says that even without being able to train properly, he believes the car will be competitive for tomorrow. “We still have a little wet and dry brake problem. Nevertheless, even with the older tire set I used during the practice, the weather was ok, but in the rain we decided not to risk it. The focus is to adjust the brake for tomorrow, because we must be competitive”, he concludes.
