The dream of Stock Car title is postponed to Julio Campos. However, judging by the consistent performance throughout the 2019 season and the fighting in the finals, the driver and Prati-Donaduzzi team can be proud of having done everything they could to try to guarantee the achievement.

At the start of the decisive race, which took place on Sunday 15 in Interlagos, Julio positioned himself very well and came to occupy the third position in the second leg of the S of Senna. “I did very well when the starting lights went out, but then I had to make room for [Felipe] Fraga and I couldn't reposition myself on the Curve of Sun and the Straight Line”, said Julio.

“As I was in the middle of the front drivers, they crashed on both sides of my car. It suffered some damages because it was too 'forward'”, lamented Prati-Donaduzzi driver, who from then on had to make an extremely defensive race, giving a show in dispute with Ricardo Maurício and Rubens Barrichello, who are two of his rivals in the fight for the title.

“Julio made a great start, but he was 'sandwiched' and the crashes misaligned the car, which greatly compromised his performance throughout the race. So, the best we got was ninth place”, said team leader, Rodolpho Mattheis. “It was not where we expected to go, but it was what circumstances allowed. Anyway, I was happy for the team that made the fastest pit stop of the race. Overall, we were able to develop the car with a good level of competitiveness this year and one sign of that was reaching the last stage of the title race”, concluded Rodolpho.

In all, Prati-Donaduzzi got a victory and a pole position (from Julio Campos in Santa Cruz do Sul) and six podiums in 2019 (four from Julio and two from Valdeno).

Valdeno Brito had a good run in Interlagos despite his unfavorable starting position. “Since we could not find the adjustment we needed yesterday, today was really a race to get rid of accidents and seize opportunities. We did this by winning 13 positions and finishing in 13th. It was as much as I could do”, said Valdeno.

The Interlagos stage had a special aspect to Prati-Donaduzzi, which went far beyond the title race. This was the brand's last race as a sponsor in the category as the company is leaving Stock Car to focus investments on other marketing areas.

The trajectory, numbers, cases and actions of Prati-Donaduzzi in motorsport in this period will be remembered in a special honor to be released throughout the week.
