Prati-Donaduzzi concluded on Sunday, 15th, a valuable seven-season cycle as a sponsor at Stock Car. Since debuting in the category in 2012, the brand has always sought a double role: both on the track, where it has won 4 pole positions, 5 wins and 25 podiums, as well as creative marketing actions, which have further expanded the reach of the main category of Brazilian motoring.
Among them, the coming of Bruno Senna and Nicolas Prost for the Doubles Race in Goiânia, GO, in 2015, which had great repercussions for recreating with the new generation the old dispute between Ayrton Senna, who was Bruno's uncle, and Alain Prost, who is Nicolas´ father. Prati-Donaduzzi has also always aimed to value past champions, as when it gave Alencar Jr. (season winner 1982) the chance to drive a modern Stock Car in 2014.
Also in 2014, the sponsor innovated by inviting “Grid Ladies” - women between 60 and 80 years old - to parade the paddock elegantly dressed in the colors of the brand by valuing health care and well-being.
Awarded Action
In September 2019 came the main brand awareness campaign and one of the most remarkable in the history of Stock Car. Created by Capim.AG and called “Transplanted Cars”, the action was carried out in partnership with Shell and provided for the “hood change” between the drivers Julio Campos and Ricardo Zonta.
The look of the cars with the trademarks of surprise caught the eye immediately, arousing curiosity from fans and the press. The revelation that it was a campaign encouraging organ donation made the issue gain international proportions by being reported on some of the largest websites and portals in the world.
Two months later, in November, the action was finalist in four categories of the largest Latin advertising award: El Ojo de Iberoamérica. The hood change won silver in the “Sustainability - Health” category and bronze in the “Sport - Sponsorship & Events” category.
Now in December, the project won three more prizes from CCPR - Creation Club of Paraná, the State where the headquarters of Prati-Donaduzzi and Capim.AG are located. It was gold in “Promo & Activation” and silver in “OOH (Out of Home)” and “Integrated Campaign”. Finally, at their own Stock Car awards ceremony in Interlagos, Prati-Donaduzzi and Shell took the best marketing action trophy of the season.

Disputing the title
On the track, Prati-Donaduzzi had big moments, such as the two-year Stock Car title race (when it reached the final race with Antonio Pizzonia and Julio Campos) and 2019 (again with Julio). The brand also made incredible achievements, such as winning both races within the same stage (in Tarumã, 2014).
In the seven seasons it has played, Prati-Donaduzzi has partnered with two teams and five drivers (not counting the guests), which it thanks for their effort and dedication. From 2012 to 2015, it participated at Mico’s Racing with Rodrigo Sperafico, Ricardo Sperafico, Julio Campos and Antonio Pizzonia. After a year away, it returned in 2017, already in the structure of R Mattheis, with Julio Campos and Antonio Pizzonia. Finally, Valdeno Brito joined the team this year.
“Our mission of providing health and well-being involves encouraging sports. In addition, Stock Car has proven to be an excellent platform for brand strengthening across Brazil, customer activations and media feedback. There were seven very important seasons within our strategy”, says Lucas Angnes, Prati-Donaduzzi marketing manager.
“I want to thank on behalf of Prati-Donaduzzi to the drivers, the teams we have been to, the category and the fans for all the support and participation in our motorsport project. For 2020, we have shifted our focus and will invest in the dissemination of innovative medicines that will make a difference in the lives of millions of Brazilians”, concludes Lucas. Further details on Prati-Donaduzzi's new investments will be released shortly by the company's press office.
Team Leader, R Mattheis, thanked for the three-year partnership between the brand and the team.
“I can only thank for the confidence in our work. It was three years of success, in which we managed to grow together, with better and better results and reaching the title dispute. We know that the departure of the sponsor is for an excellent cause and we will keep fond memories of this partnership. I also thank the drivers very much. Julio who was brilliant in this period, and Valdeno who contributed a lot to us”, says Rodolpho Mattheis.
