Five teams presented robot, customer interaction system and artificial intelligence tools during the Hackathon semifinal (programming marathon) held last Friday (11). The marathon took place during the 2nd edition of Pig Data, which is the largest event in the area of technology and innovation in western Paraná, held at Biopark - Science and Technology Park of Biosciences based in Toledo.
Of the five teams, four of them were qualified for the final round, which takes place on Friday (18) at Toledo Business Association (ACIT). The winning team will receive a prize of R$ 2,500, the runner-up will receive R$ 1,500, while the third place will get R$ 1,000.
The Challenge
Prati-Donaduzzi, right at the opening of the event, proposed the challenge. In the order, “mapping relationship enhancement and fulfillment solutions for eight OTCs (Prescription Free) products in the industry portfolio.”
The proposals were evaluated by an examining board composed of members from Prati-Donaduzzi, Iguassu IT, Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae), Schulze Innovation and Sicredi.
“In a short time, the groups were able to understand the challenge and proposed solutions that came close to the goal”, said Prati-Donaduzzi Information Technology (IT) manager, Marcelo Fiorin.
According to Prati-Donaduzzi Marketing Manager, Lucas Angnes, the company will verify the presented suggestions and evaluate the possibility of implementation. “We found the content of the proposals interesting and how the projects were conducted, as well.”

First time
It was Lucas Garcia's first time in a Hackathon. The student of Computer Engineering said that the biggest challenge was to know and study the pharmaceutical market. “It was a great experience for my team because we were able to think and develop a different idea of what we are used to in undergraduate education. We hope to win this competition”, he said.
