For the first time, employees of Centralpack- Packaging Industry, which is based in Toledo, made a technical visit to Prati-Donaduzzi Pharmaceutical Industry, on Tuesday (24). Such visit aimed to promote an exchange of experiences between teams of both companies.
In the pharmaceutical industry, the group of 14 employees learned about the history of the company that began its activities in 1993 in a discreet way, but today is considered the largest producer of generic drugs in Brazil, with a capacity to produce 12 billion doses per year. Then, they went on a visit to the facility where the main solid medicines are produced, such as Metformin (antidiabetic) and Losartan (blood pressure control).
In addition to the production facility, the visitors got to know the Secondary Packaging area where the entire drug packaging process is carried out, automatically and with state-of-the-art technology. From blistering tablets to shipping boxes.
Employees were able to closely check their importance in the process because the packaging used by Prati-Donaduzzi is produced by Centralpack.
“Once we understand our customers' manufacturing process, we are able to further engage the team and reinforce the importance of the quality of our products”, said Jeferson Nascimento, who works at Centralpack's Graphic Finishing Department.

The Flexography Department employee, Lisete Aparecida de Souza, was attentive to the process of folding the cartons and package inserts. “This technical visit was very important to answer several questions I had. One of the things that struck me most was the way the machine automatically folds the boxes. ”
Visits
The action was organized by Prati-Donaduzzi Marketing department, which in recent months has promoted several visits as a way of bringing the community closer to the pharmaceutical industry.
According to the coordinator of the Visit of the Family, Thaís Nascimento, by the end of the year three more actions are planned. “In August, we made two visits with our employees' parents. In October something special will be done for the children”, Thaís explained.
