The Directory Board of Coperfarma Pharmacy Chain had the opportunity to learn about the daily routine of a pharmaceutical industry last Tuesday (09) by visiting Prati-Donaduzzi, Toledo (PR). The businesspeople from Coperfarma came from Foz do Iguaçu (Coperfarma headquarters), São Miguel do Iguaçu and Medianeira.
In the pharmaceutical industry based in Paraná, the CEO, Eder Fernando Maffissoni and the Trade Director, Walter Batista, welcomed the group.
In addition to learning about the history of the company that started in 1993 serving only the public health system and, nowadays, holds the title of largest producer of generic drug doses in Brazil, Coperfarma representatives followed the Losartana manufacturing processes (treatment of hypertension) and Metformin (used to control diabetes). Two of the most commercialized drugs in Brazilian pharmacies.
According to the president of Coperfarma Chain, Carlos Maran, at Prati-Donaduzzi, they had, for the first time, the opportunity of following from the arrival of the raw material in the industry to the exit of the finished drug destined for their pharmaceutical units.
“We were impressed by the size of this industry that is our neighbor. Especially when investing in research and development. We want to be more and more partners”, he said.
Maffissoni emphasized to visitors that the pharmaceutical company has a great interest in the partnership. Moreover, the industry is aware of setting fair prices for the pharmacies and the end consumer.
“We can make a difference together. Prati only grows when its partners grow together”, he said.
Expansion
Coperfarma is constantly growing and currently has 53 pharmacies in Paraná and Santa Catarina. In the coming days, another 12 units will be started in both states. By 2020, the aim is to have 100 pharmacies in operation. “We are growing and we are counting on Prati's collaboration”, Maran concluded.
