Through Prati-Donaduzzi´s invitation, Leme will talk a little bit about his career
Journalist Reginaldo Leme will participate in a chat with the kart racers, July 22, at 6:30 pm at Hotel Deville, in Cascavel. The lecture is part of the program of the “54th Prati-Donaduzzi Brazilian Karting Championship”, which starts this Monday (15), at 8am, at Delci Damian kart track. The competition goes until the 27th with the participation of over 460 kart racers from several parts of the country.
Through Prati-Donaduzzi´s invitation, Leme will talk a little bit about his career as a reporter and stories he has lived through his 47 years of racing coverage, whether from Stock Car, Formula 1 and even Kart.
In these more than four decades in auto journalism in Brazil, Leme has covered more than eight world titles that Brazil has won in Formula-1 and currently has over 700 Grand Prix presence.
He is the only sports commentator with a regular feature on Jornal Nacional, Rede Globo's main program, which reaches an audience of approximately 100 million people daily. With all this “track” experience, he will give kart racers some tips on how to pursue a racing career.
“I am very excited to be able to share with new racers a little bit of my racing experience. I see today as a great challenge for new talents all the dedication and commitment they need to show on the track, but especially outside of it”, he said.
For the journalist, participating in some way of the Brazilian Kart brings the joy and hope of knowing that in a few years, Brazil will again have a good crop of young people following the path to F-1.
“Thanks to our partnership with Prati-Donaduzzi, we will be able to offer this differential to the 54th Brazilian Karting participants”, said Pedro Sereno, president of the National Karting Commission.
The distribution of the invitations will be made in a directed way to the racers in the secretary of the Brazilian Kart Championship.
Prati and Sport
Prati-Donaduzzi's relationship with the sport has been longstanding. The pharmaceutical industry supports “Mais Vôlei Toledo” Program, which assists 200 athletes and offers volleyball class free of charge in several neighborhoods.
As part of its sports incentive actions, Prati also supports the Rotary Half Marathon through Tax Incentive Law, which brings together about 1,200 runners every year.
Prati has also sponsored Toledo Soccer Team and, in 2012, joined Stock Car, considered the main category of Brazilian motorsport. Currently, Prati has two representative racers competing for the 2019 season.
“We are increasingly seeking to diversify our sponsorships and it is no different in motor sports. We felt it was time to find new platforms and karting proved to be a great choice not only for visibility but also for the opportunity to support the sport where it starts and where it needs most”, added Lucas Angnes, Prati- Donaduzzi Marketing Manager.
