Paraná governor visits Prati-Donaduzzi and announces benefits for the West region of the State

In a visit to Prati-Donaduzzi on December 11 th, the governor of Paraná Beto Richa signed a decree authorizing the Pharmacy graduation course to be run at State University of the West of Paraná (Unioeste), Toledo Campus. In addition, he announced the partnership between the industry and the educational institution for the accomplishment of the pharmaceutical residency program, which is unique in Brazil. At that time, Richa visited the new industrial plant of the company along with the mayors of 18 cities of the region, who took part in the event.
"This is an advance for toledo, a great contribution for this company which generates so many employments and wealth to the city and Paraná. It was our government commitment to have the Pharmacy Course, inclusively, it will be held here the first industrial pharmaceutical residency in Brazil", the governor highlights.
"Everybody who attends the course will be invited to work with us since the first year. The idea is to make them gain experience and graduate as professionals who are aware of the reality of the pharmaceutical industry, able to perform on this market", Luiz Donaduzzi (Prati-Donaduzzi director-president) reveals.

Pharmaceutical Residency
The unprecedented program of Industrial Pharmaceutical Residency will also be held by Prati-Donaduzzi along with Unioeste. The theoretical activities will take place at Unioeste and the theoretical-practical activities will be held in the pharmaceutical industry. The selecting process for the program is likely to take place on March 2016 and the beginning of the classes will be in July of the same year.
Donaduzzi highlights that the program will enable the formation of more qualified professionals in industrial pharmacy. "The graduated students will spend two years studying and working so that at the end of this period they can advance on research, developemt and innovation field. This program will bring many benefits and students all around Brazil" he points out. According to Unioeste Rector, Professor Paulo Sérgio Wolff, the partnerships with Prati-Donaduzzi will be important for the development of Toledo and the West region. "Unioeste will be the first State institution to keep a partnership with a private company for the development of Pharmacy course. These partnerships open up new prospects for the future", he says.
"Prati-Donaduzzi is one of the companies covered through the programs of tax incentives of the State Government, as in the case of Paraná Competitive Program. We are able to recognize how much Prati-Donaduzzi is essential for Toledo and makes the whole State be proud of it by being considered the largest generic drug industry in Brazil", Richa emphasizes.
Prati-Donaduzzi director-president points out that since the beginning the pharmaceutical industry has agreed important partnerships with the government of Paraná State. "In the case of Beto Richa´s government, the partnership has enabled the construction of a new industrial plant for solid drug manufacturing, which will increase the productive capacity in 50 %. We are the largest drug producer in Brazil and with this new plant we will keep leading. Nowadays, by manufacturing low added value drugs, we treat 25 million of people a day. Therefore, our social responsibility is immense", Donaduzzi concludes.
