14th Rotary/Prati-Donaduzzi Half Marathon was officially started on last night’s (02) event. The opening ceremony was held at Casa da Amizade, in Toledo, with guests, officials, and the press in attendance. For the third consecutive year the pharmaceutical industry sponsors the event.
According to Franciele Felin, Prati-Donaduzzi Business Marketing representative, the company is greatly honored to once again support the Half Marathon. “This is one of the major running events in Paraná streets, a renowned event on this category’s schedule, and that is aligned with Prati-Donaduzzi’s mission to promote physical activities and healthy habits”, said Ms. Felin.
Dr. Toro Takada, the man responsible for making the Half Marathon in Toledo a reality is proud of the event that was born from a pastime among rotary members. “From a simple pastime first held 14 years ago, today’s Half Marathon is one of Paraná’s most traditional street races and it gathers professional and amateur athletes from the State, as well as from other places. Every year we have more than 1000 children attending the Little Marathon and considerable attendance in the Walking for Health. We’d like to especially thank our friends from Rotary, the sponsors and supporters of this partnership”, says Mr. Takada.
The 14th Rotary/Prati-Donaduzzi Half Marathon takes place on October 11th at the Municipal Lake/Ecological Park Diva Paim Barth. The 14th Rustic Marathon, the 14th Little Marathon, and the 12th Walking for Health are also part of the event.
Registration
Registration for the 14th Rotary/Prati-Donaduzzi Half Marathon can be made at the website www.meiamaratonarotary.com.br. Registrations are open until September 11th. Sign up fees are R$ 55.00 for the Half Marathon and R$ 40.00 for the Rustic Marathon. The Little Marathon and Walking for Health events are free of charge. Over R$ 40,000 will be awarded in prizes, trophies for the top finishers, and medals for all competitors.
