Goiânia is a track that never leaves something to be desired for the Prati-Donaduzzi team. The Ayrton Senna International Race Track has already provided a podium for the team this year, when Julio Campos was second in May. At this weekend's stage, the result is expected to be no different, and Friday's practice, 22, shows that the cars are competitive. Julio Campos and Valdeno Brito finished in the top five and the performance is expected to improve for Saturday's timing.

“One more stage that is starting well. The car is fast and we need to improve the brake, but until tomorrow, we will have plenty of time to figure out what is going on. However, the important thing is that the car is very competitive”, says Julio.

Team leader, Rodolpho Mattheis, agrees and believes that tomorrow will be even better. “It was a very productive day, with both fast cars. We have some tweaks to make and we believe that this can further improve performance for tomorrow by placing at least the two cars in the top 10 and one of them in Q3 (group of the 6 fastest). ”

Valdeno Brito also remains optimistic for qualifying training. “It was a good day and the trend is to get even better. We still have to adjust the car in sector 1 and tomorrow continue to perform well. ”

Decisive stage for the championship

The penultimate stage of Stock Car, which will be held this Sunday, 24th, in Goiânia, is decisive for the definition of the finalists of the championship, which will be decided in December, in São Paulo. Julio Campos has a chance of fighting for the title, ranking fifth in the standings. The points of the stage in Goiânia will be fundamental for Julio to continue the fight for Interlagos.
