Have you thought about getting the bills in order and still save part of the salary? Yes, this task seems to be quite difficult. With a view to providing 'financial health' to its employees, Prati-Donaduzzi offers a monthly course on the theme “Awareness of the importance of family/personal financial planning”.
In class, students learn from the importance of saving part of their salary to investment options. Questions about: Rent or buy a property? How can I invest my money? Does Consortium pay off? Answers are remedied during training.
Employees also make financing simulations and budget cuts, and understand more about compound interest. Everything is designed to help them understand what they earn and spend every month.
Instructor Kleber Velozo, Market Intelligence Analyst at Prati´s Marketing Department, tries to show during his classes that when it comes to saving, some important points need to be taken into account. Many of these questions must be asked daily. For example, what I spend my money on and if I can reduce some expenses.
“Do I plan my acquisitions? When I go to buy something, I ask myself: Do I want? Do I need? Can I afford to pay? All this will faithfully reflect on your finances”, he said.
Other suggestions is to set aside at least 10% of what you earn to invest; think before you buy any item; buy in cash and ask for a discount; Knowing which promotion is not always more affordable and, most importantly, saving money for the future is essential.
According to Velozo, a specialist in Financial Therapy at DSOP Financial Education of São Paulo, the economy can bring several benefits. Although these are economical tips, when you can apply the course content in your daily life, you can have a better quality of life and a more harmonious relationship with your family. "You have to spend less than you earn, because today's planning builds tomorrow's life."
The employee, Bruna Silva, has just been hired and participated in the activity made available in the General Integration Program (PGI), which is a training offered to professionals who are coming to the company. “There are several ways we can organize our financial side and I believe with discipline this is possible. Arriving at Prati and learning more about that is nice. ”

The offer of the financial education course to employees started in 2017, under the coordination of the company's Corporate University, Uniprati. In these two years, 500 students have already participated.
The good acceptance plus the fact that, according to Serasa Experian (company that works with credit information), 40.4% of the adult population of the country has overdue and negative debts, that is, more than 60 million defaulting people. Prati-Donaduzzi also included the topic in the PGI activity schedule. Since then, another 600 people have been able to learn about it.
“It is gratifying to be part of this project. We want to help our employees stay out of Serasa's defaulting list. Providing training focused on the conscious use of money and the realization of dreams is a noble attitude on the part of the company”, added Juliano Liberato from the Budget department, who is also an instructor of the course.
