Prati-Donaduzzi - largest producer of generic drugs in Brazil* - received on Monday (19) representatives of 20 pharmacies. In the group, owners, pharmacists, clerks and cashiers of pharmacies from 15 cities of Rio Grande do Sul.

In the pharmaceutical industry, they visited from the Warehouse (where the raw materials that reach the industry are stored daily) to the unit where the main solid medicines are produced, such as Losartan (indicated for the treatment of hypertension), Metformin (used to control diabetes) and Captopril (indicated for the treatment of hypertension and heart failure).

“This is the second time I visit Prati. It is always a learning experience”, said the businessperson, Viviane Scheffer Schwanck.

The businessperson, Renato Valli Sole, has been working in the pharmaceutical field for 19 years in Pelotas. For the first time, he got to know how Prati-Donaduzzi medicines are made. Such medicines he recommends for his clients on a daily basis. “This visit is a very important link between industry and customers. This detail directly impacts sales”, said Sole.

The expectation to know the Paraná´s pharmaceutical industry was high. According to the External Sales Supervisor of Porto Alegre, Vitor Paulo Wendorff, the vacancies for the visit were extremely competitive. “Knowing the production of medicines is something long awaited by our customers. Who comes, wants to come back”, he says.

At the manufacturing facility, the Pharmaceutical Founding Partner, Dr. Carmen Donaduzzi, the Trade Director, Walter Batista da Silva, the Southern Region Sales Manager, Carlos Henrique Turri and the Marketing Manager, Lucas Angnes, welcomed them.

“Conheça Mais” Project

The visit to the company is part of Conheça Mais Project (PCM), which is from the Marketing Department. Since 2010, the initiative has brought more than 11,000 customers to know the industry, which, nowadays, holds the title of largest producer of generic drugs in Brazil.

By the end of the year, at least 700 other clerks, cashiers and pharmacists from various networks throughout Brazil are expected to participate in the project.

According to the coordinator of the Project, Noemi Kistemacher, the goal is to bring the company closer to customers and show the care in the manufacturing process. Indeed, currently, Prati produces 12 billion doses per year and is present in more than 56,000 Brazilian pharmacies.

“Until 2010, Prati served only public health units. That year, it entered another phase, also selling to private pharmacies. It seems fair to bring those who sell our products to know the manufacturing process”, explained Noemi.

External Sales Supervisor, Jeferson de Oliveira Marcanth, who works in Pelotas, has the same opinion. According to him, pharmacy employees play an important role in the products´ sales. "When our customers know the production process, they bring the quality of Prati medicines to the end consumer", he said.

Sightseeing

Before visiting Prati-Donaduzzi, the group of 39 people went to Foz do Iguaçu. They visited the Iguassu Falls and the Bird Park.
