The 54th Brazilian Prati-Donaduzzi Karting Championship is in the second and final round, gathering around 200 racers at Delci Damian Karting Track in Cascavel, PR. On Saturday 27, when the finals will be held, the gates will open at 8am. Although Valdeno Brito started his career in motorsport by karting, this will be his debut in national championships.

“I am enjoying the opportunity of competing in karting. I hope to have so much fun. And of course: in the end, I hope to win a trophy”, said the racer from Paraiba, based in Londrina, PR. He will compete for the Super Senior category.

Valdeno, who is a member of Prati-Donaduzzi Stock Car team, started karting at age 18 in Paraíba. However, soon afterwards he started to make car engines growl. “I started 'old' for the sport and I didn't stay long. Soon I started racing. Even so, I have always been in love with karting, whether for training or fun”, he said.

The Valdeno´s connection is so great with karting that he even has an indoor kart that bears his name in Londrina. “Karting has more similar reactions to formula 1 cars, quite different from those of Stock Car. Nevertheless, it is excellent, because everything is very fast: acceleration, contouring and braking. Undoubtedly, a great school”,he said.

During the week, while practicing, Valdeno will take the opportunity of talking a bit about his career to the karting racers. One of his main tips is that, in addition to talent for the sport (which ends up discovering over time); you must understand mechanics and, above all, be committed.
