Prati-Donaduzzi presents model of Pharmaceutical Residency in Ceará

 

On May 9th, General Manager of Research, Development and Innovation of Prati-Donaduzzi, Rubia Porsch, and Professor Nereida Gioppo of the State University of Western Paraná (Unioeste) presented at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) the Residency Program in Industrial Pharmacy, which is unique in Brazil.

The invited speakers, during the Workshop, presented "Pharmaceutical Residency in Industrial Pharmacy - A new reality" the success model of the Residency and the public-private partnership. "The invitation was made by the example of innovation regarding university - company integration", emphasizes Rubia.

The manager explains that the State of Ceará is implementing the Industrial and Technological Center of Health (ITCH), whose anchor company is Farmanguinhos and needs to implement a robust program of professional training in the pharmaceutical industry not only to meet the ITCH, but also other state pharmaceutical companies. "In our second selection process we had two UFC (Federal University of Ceará) students enrolled. However, they were not approved in the process and took to the direction of the course of UFC Pharmacy the desire to have a Residence in the UFC ", explains Rubia.

The event was attended by the director of Fiocruz in Ceará, Dr. Carlile Lavor; the president of the Regional Council of Pharmacy (CRF-CE), Dr. Emília Pimentel; the representative of the National Council of Residencies of the Health Ministry, Dr. Ana Paula Silveira; the president of the Brazilian Association of Pharmaceutical Education, Dr. Paulo Arrais; and the representative of the Fresenius Laboratory, Kabi Rebeca Moura, as well as UFC professors.

The event was organized by the Federal University of Ceará, which was supported by the Regional Pharmacy Council of Ceará.
