In order to provide a cultural exchange between Brazil and the United States and to facilitate the exchange of experiences between the two countries on the pharmaceutical market, Prati-Donaduzzi has maintained a partnership with the University of the Incarnate Word for four years, located in Texas, United States, through the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUC-PR), Campus Toledo. Through the agreement students from the US Pharmacy and Administration areas have the opportunity of taking an internship at Prati-Donaduzzi.
In the first half of the year, the company welcomes Pharmacy interns Kristine Reymundo and Lily Khong, who are developing projects for Research, Development and Innovation (PD & I) Analytical, and remain in the industry until March 29th. Marisol Cepeda, a master's degree student in Business, worked for two weeks in the Legal Affairs Department of Prati-Donaduzzi. "It was a great experience to learn about the legal area that will be valid for the future. In addition, I was surprised at the way people welcomed us, all receptive and always willing to help. Prati is a company that cares about people not only for the mission to produce medicines, but for their concern mainly with employees, it is a fantastic company”, she said.
This month the company also welcomes the student Melissa De Leon, to work in the Legal Affairs sector, and to continue the project initiated by Marisol. The partnership foresees that the second group, with three more American university students, will come to Brazil in August this year.
Benefits
One of the biggest gains of the project is the exchange of experiences on the pharmaceutical market, which results in benefits for all parties involved. "This is the eighth class we have received from American interns, which strengthens the culture and practice of English among the groups. Prati gains by increasing knowledge of US law, knowing more about the regulations of the FDA agency and the American pharmaceutical Market”, says Aline Gorris - the manager of the internship program.
