Last week, employees of Prati-Donaduzzi Environment department participated in the 3rd Exhibition of Science, Technology and Environment, promoted by the Municipal Department of Education (SMED) of Toledo.
The event - held at Desireé Refosco Events Center on Vila Pioneira - aimed to disseminate practical actions and activities carried out by the municipal schools, in the subjects of Science and Environmental Education. At the time, Prati-Donaduzzi environmental technician, Faneza de Oliveira, presented the children the Conscientious Drug Disposal project. "On that day, we collected about ten kilos of expired or unused drugs, which were properly discarded", she said.
Prati-Donaduzzi is a company concerned with sustainability. Therefore, students also received information on the internal actions that are carried out by the pharmaceutical industry in order to minimize waste generation. In addition, the company constantly searches for alternatives of reuse and recycling of different materials.
According to the Science educational coordinator of SMED, Vaníria Bianchi, the exhibition is a way of disseminating the initiatives that schools held during the school year. "It is a consolidation of their work and the applicability of the content studied in the classroom in the areas of Science and Environmental Education", she emphasizes.
