Prati-Donaduzzi/Serprati Women´s Track Team came back home bringing eight medals – six gold and two silver – from the first participation in Sindusfarma Open Games, one of the biggest sports competition in the country among pharmaceutical industries. The competitions took place from September 23rd to 25th, in Santo André (SP), and the athletes competed in the 100-meter, 200-meter, 400-meter, 800-meter and 4 by 100-meter relay races.
According to the Physical Education teacher and Serprati team coach, Douglas Fonseca Martins, the team reached their dream of taking part in Sindusfarma Open Games and achieving such a fantastic result in the competition. “We were aware of the difficulties of participating in this national level competition due to the distance and the high-level competition we would have to face. We adviced our athletes to compete for pleasure and in search for a healthier life quality, once they are not professional athletes, and also that the positive result is a consequence of all that is done with love and determination. Thanks to these foundations that the athletes learned day-by-day, we achieved a great result in our first participation in Sindusfarma Open Games”, he points out.
The teams are trained by the teachers Douglas Fonseca Martins and Claudemir Basílio (Ganso).
