Prati-Donaduzzi celebrates 10 years of the Safe Pregnancy Program, developed by the pharmaceutical industry's Social Responsibility sector. The project assists annually 120 pregnant women, between collaborators and wives of employees. In a decade of accomplishment more than 1,300 women participated in the program and received guidance on motherhood and the relationship with the newborn.
The responsible for the Social Responsibility area of Prati-Donaduzzi, Maria Rita Pozzebon, was the creator of Safe Pregnancy Program. "To talk about Safe Pregnancy is moving, as it was the first project that I developed within the company ten years ago. It was spectacular to see throughout this period new life coming and joining our family. You can tell during the program a very high expectancy from parents for the baby's arrival, it is a magical period, and the course contributes to the woman’s safety in this period when emotions are more evident. With that, they feel valued and respected as pregnant women, thereby enhancing the quality of life at work, " she explains.
Maria Rita still points out that one of the main challenges for organizations is to retain talents. "It is necessary that they have a distinctive look for the human being, not as a normal worker, but rather as an important part in the process of the organization’s conquest, as beings with feelings and emotions, however that it is possible to manage it all with balance and wisdom when you have encouragement and support", she adds.
Collaborator Marlei Vitto Marschall participated in the program in two pregnancies. "In 2005/2006, when I participated for the first time of the course during the pregnancy of my daughter Maria Luiza, I cleared much doubts and, later in 2008, during the second pregnancy with my son Pedro Gabriel, I took the training once again, I realized that even being mother I still had a lot to learn. The arrival of a baby changes the entire structure of the family and it is very important that the mother-to-be and her partner are prepared for this new stage of the couple’s life, "she recalls.
Marlei informs that the course is important for future moms because it complements the prenatal care. "I believe it rescues the woman’s self-confidence - who nowadays takes care of her family, studies, works- which sometimes thinks she's incapable of giving birth and raising a child. The course helps convey security to her, with concrete information, clarifying doubts with experienced professionals and allowing her to share her feelings with other pregnant women ", complements the collaborator who works in the Solid manufacturing Board secretariat.
