Prati-Donaduzzi receives award for social responsibility actions in Paraná

Pharmaceutical industry Prati-Donaduzzi received this Thursday (20) a MDGs certificate - the Millennium Development Goals. This is the fifth year that the company is awarded the seal. The award ceremony took place in Curitiba (PR) and the certificate was awarded to 187 companies and institutions of Paraná.
The awards ceremony takes place through the “'Movimento Nós Podemos Paraná” which is awarded and evaluated by SESI-PR and it aims to recognize and disseminate good practices for the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals. This certificate intends to recognize and publicize the work carried out by local and state, public, as well as private and third sector institutions in the state of Paraná.
The MDGs Seal is a company recognition for social projects designed to combat poverty and misery, according to the rules established by the UN - the United Nations. All Social Responsibility projects of Prati-Donaduzzi received the MDGs seal, particularly the initiatives for Safe Pregnancy, ReStart, PID Prati/Fasul and Prati Community. They were presented to the public during the Mostra de Projetos Dialogada.
Each program has specific objectives based on development, health and personal well-being, says Maria Rita, responsible for the Social Responsibility Department of Prati-Donaduzzi. “The company believes that through social actions it can provide an increase in quality of life and therefore each year it updates the social projects that support employees and the community,” she says.
Maria Rita highlighted that receiving the certificate for the fifth consecutive year is a way of recognizing that Prati-Donaduzzi is an innovative company that concerned with everyone. “The company is honored to receive this seal for the fifth consecutive year. This strengthens our commitment to the health and well-being of people, and not only of our employees but also of the community as a whole.”
The Millennium Development Goals were established in 2000 during a meeting of the UN Summit, where leaders of 189 countries signed a pact to eliminate hunger and extreme poverty by 2015. They comprise eight socioeconomic goals covering income generation, education, gender, health and environment.
