Prati-Donaduzzi started the activities of 2015 second class of its Safe Pregnancy Program which was developed by the company’s Social Responsibility department. Over 60 women take part in the project and 120 pregnant women either company employees or wives of employees attend each year.
Claudineia Marques Hoffmann, 28, eagerly awaits the birth of her first son who she named Gael. Being 32 weeks pregnant this employee of the fiscal department says the course will be quite important at this stage. “Although I read and try to learn more about the subject the information we get in the course will be essential for when the baby is born which in my case should be in September. What’s more I can interact and share experiences with other mothers here.”
Another employee Neiva Ramos, 38, is pregnant of another girl 11 years after the birth of her first daughter. “I’m 24 weeks pregnant, but I feel like it’s my first pregnancy since it has been so long now. I need to learn again a lot of information and the program is doing a great job at this.”
The meetings approach subjects relevant to the baby and pregnant mother universe: Motherhood and Fatherhood; Relaxation and Posture Techniques; Psychological Aspect and emotion swings during pregnancy; Oral health for pregnant women and babies; Pregnant Women labor rights and Health Insurance (Unimed); Language and cognition of the baby; Nutrition for pregnant women and babies; Childbirth and postpartum; Breastfeeding; First aid for nursing and nursling; Newborn care; Relaxation techniques for babies - Shantala.  The meetings end in September.
According to the programs coordinator social assistant Elisiane Borille the pregnant women are expected to attend all meetings “to fully benefit from the course as to gain knowledge and share experiences.”
