Over 50 pregnant women participate in this year's first class of Safe Pregnancy Program, a project that has been developed by Prati-Donaduzzi’s Social Responsibility center for the last nine years, helping an annual average of over 120 pregnant women, among them collaborators and wives of employees. The meetings began on Wednesday (the 18th) and will be held until March 19th, on Mondays and Thursdays afternoons, at the facility of the pharmaceutical industry.
During the program, the future moms receive guidance on motherhood and relationship with the newborn baby. The themes discussed at the meetings seek to cover the universe of the mother and baby, as follows: Maternity & Paternity; Psychosocial Aspects; Proper posture and exercise; Language and the baby’s cognitive side; First aid techniques; Oral health of the mother and baby; Nutrition of the mother and baby; Pregnant women’s labor/Healthcare (Unimed) rights; Breastfeeding; Parturition and Post-partum; Relaxation techniques for babies – Shantala; Precautions with the newborn, Those who love also Instructs and Packing, with this latter module now entering the program.
Cátia Dal Magro Moschetta, a Quality Control employee, looks forward to the arrival of her first child, Leonardo. Six months pregnant, the collaborator is participating in the Safe Pregnancy Program after the indication of a co-worker. “She told me about the program and I decided to join. It is always good to learn something new and the schedule is comprehensive, covering various issues,” as she points out.

Sirlei Aparecida Walter, from the Penicillanic area, is pregnant for the fourth time. A mother of three little girls, the collaborator, now five months pregnant, awaits the arrival of the first boy in the family. “It is the first time I take part in the program and I believe it will be very good,” she emphasizes.

According to the program coordinator, social worker Elisiane Borille, the first class of the year was a surprise due to the amount of pregnant women registered. “Most are collaborators, there is only one wife of an employee. This means that the women who have already participated in the program also encourage the other collaborators,” she says.
