Nine podiums and two pole positions. These are the numbers of Prati-Donaduzzi drivers in Cascavel. No wonder the team is so excited for the next round of Stock Car, which takes place next Sunday, 20, on the circuit that is the “home” of the team sponsor.
Prati-Donaduzzi Pharmaceutical Industry is based in Toledo, neighboring Cascavel, which certainly will leave the stands full with the #orgulhoroxo crowd.
The team, which is in the fight for the title with Paraná´s driver Julio Campos, wants to take advantage of the experience in Cascavel´s race circuit to recover points lost in the last rounds.
“We are very optimistic, because Cascavel brings a very good track record for us. In 2015, we set the record for double round results with Valdeno (first and second place), something that no one has been able to beat yet. Julio also has several podiums there and last year we hit a record of points of the round. We will take advantage of this to try to podium with both drivers, score points and get better positions in the championship”, says team chief, Rodolpho Mattheis.
Julio Campos, who is in fourth position in the championship, is also focusing on improving the score to pursue the title. “Cascavel is our sponsor's race, a circuit that we have always been doing well and the team has great results almost every year. The idea is to be able to retake points. We had some problems that got out of our control and got many points in the last two rounds. We still have a chance of recovery. Many things might happen by the end of the championship. We are still fighting for the title and we want to get closer to the leader at every round.

Paraíba’s driver, Valdeno Brito, recalls one of his best career results achieved in 2015. “The next round is a special race for me, as I am the record holder there. On a weekend, I got the pole position and I won the first race and got the second position in the second race. Therefore, it was an almost perfect result. I like this circuit a lot. It is a challenging, but a pleasant circuit to drive on. I look forward to achieving good results in Cascavel”, he says.
