Gestação Segura Project has been carried out by Prati-Donaduzzi for 13 years
Prati-Donaduzzi, Brazil's largest manufacturer of doses of generic drugs *, won the 2018 Child Award, sponsored by Abrinq Foundation. The recognition came through “Gestação Segura” Project (Safe Pregnancy), carried out for 13 years by the company. In this year's edition, held on December 13 in São Paulo, the Child Award recognized five projects among the 136 registered initiatives.
For Prati-Donaduzzi CEO, Eder Fernando Maffissoni, the achievement reflects a work carried out with dedication. "The social responsibility projects we carry out reinforce our values and our mission as they complement the work of bringing health and well-being to people. It is a work done with great dedication and that generates good fruits, for us it is reason of pride to receive this recognition", he explains.
Gestação Segura is a program aimed at employees who are pregnant and for employees' wives, as well. They participate in several trainings that provide knowledge about childbirth and postpartum, rights, nutrition, breastfeeding, first aid, among others. All activities aim to improve their quality of life and work, as well as the babies. Since 2005, the project has assisted more than 1600 people. Only in 2018, there were 113 pregnant women.
"Prati-Donaduzzi cares about people and through a project like Gestação Segura, it shows this concern. There are many people involved, in addition to the team that organizes the project. We count on the support of volunteers, both employees and professionals from different areas and working in Toledo. However, the success of the initiative would not be the same without the pregnant women who trust in what we do and seek in the project guidelines for the special moment they live", says Social Responsibility Supervisor, Maria Rita Pozzebon.
The Child Award was created in 1989 and seeks to recognize innovative initiatives aimed at early childhood, which is considered from pregnancy period up to six years old. It is in its 22nd edition and has already awarded 81 initiatives implemented throughout Brazil. Abrinq Foundation is a non-profit organization that promotes the defense of the rights and the exercise of citizenship of children and adolescents.
