Max Wilson won a sweaty pole on Saturday in Cascavel and will command tomorrow's grid of 30 cars in the fourth stage of Stock Car. RCM racer was the 15th and last to secure passage to the second part of qualifying, he arrived in the pits with a flat tire and only reached the vacancy to Q3 in the last moments, after the checkered flag had already been lowered. It was one of the highlights of the qualifying, which saw Prati-Donaduzzi show the well-known strength of its racers and team in the "home" race. Júlio Campos, the fastest of Q2, will leave in 4th and his teammate Antonio Pizzonia will start in 7th.

The result was a great celebration for members of Prati-Donaduzzi, who entered Q3 for the first time and won their best grid positions this season. The podium odds have never been so clear, in Campos' assessment, who owns a pole position in 2014 and three second-places on the circuit in the west of Brazil on his resume. "The podium is a viable goal, of course, and we will be in the fight for the victory," said Campos.

Campos said the results put Prati-Donaduzzi in its natural place. "We started to improve. In fact, we have never ridden badly in practice, but the timings were not cool and now it's working. We were fast in the three parts of the qualifying. I am very happy and I know we have everything to have a great weekend ", he said. The best Paranaense in Cascavel, Campos said that the track is really his favorite one. "Bacião is the curve I like the most on the calendar", he said.

Although satisfied with his work, Pizzonia did not hide a point of disappointment with the fourth row of the grid. "I'm a bit disappointed because I know we could have taken a little bit more of Q2, but on my best lap, I made a little mistake in the second sector. In the last lap, I had opened with an even better difference, but the team asked me to abort and save tires because I thought I was already among the six firs ones. However, it is a difficult decision, and the team has no way of predicting everything. "Unfortunately, at the end Max passed me after the checkered flag, which was a pity because I had a chance to fight for pole. I lost a tenth and a half to myself and I took less than a tenth for P1, but we had an absurd leap compared to what we were yesterday when the car presented a problem in the rear suspension that we only noticed at the end of everything", he analyzed.

With predictions of low temperatures and steady weather, the start of the first race of the double round is scheduled for 12:30p.m., with live transmission by SporTv 3.
